JungleScout is a tool and extension for product research, especially on Amazon and Aliexpress. Beginners and established sellers on Amazon use this tool to determine which profitable products to sell in their online store.
In today’s article we will discuss the importance of reviews and how this tool will really help you to make sales and maximize your success in e-commerce on Amazon or other platforms, especially in dropshipping?
The old method was to give away some products for free and in exchange customers would leave you a positive review, but this strategy is considered a black cat and goes against Amazon’s terms of service. More recently, you may have seen Amazon in the news for charging over 600 Chinese brands for what they call review fraud. This involved tricking customers into leaving a good review by offering them gift cards or other cash prizes. Another way to get more reviews was to sign up for the “Early Reviewer” program.
This program allowed Amazon to select reviewers, who did not have a history of abuse, and offer them free products and amazon credits in exchange for posting a positive review, but as of April 2021, Amazon has discontinued the program and are pushing sellers to use the amazon vine “Testers Club” program. Like the “early reviewer” program, this one allows you to distribute products to pre-qualified “vine reviewers,” who are people Amazon thinks are leaving good reviews. They can request your product and, once they receive it, would have a review that is usually quite comprehensive. This program was free to use, except that you had to send your product to a few reviewers for free.
However, as of October 2021, Amazon is charging about $200 for each new registrant, due to the crackdown on fraud and the closure of the early review program there are now fewer and fewer ways for sellers to get reviews in a way that is approved by Amazon’s terms of service.
On the other hand, good news for you to hear, there is still a way to get Amazon-approved reviews that you should know about. If you don’t already know, it’s the “Request a Review” button that allows sellers to request a review on the order detail page in sellercentral. You click request a review and it triggers an email that Amazon sends to your customers, telling them you want their feedback.
Here is an example of what that email looks like.
Keep in mind that you cannot customize or modify this email in any way. While this is a great feature for sellers, it can be very time consuming and tedious to manage, so if you have 10 or 20 orders it may be manageable, but the problem especially arises if you have hundreds of orders to process.
That’s why I’m introducing JungleScout, the ultimate automation tool!
Indeed, this tool will make it easier for you to manage your review requests to help you solve this problem by sending review requests in an automated way for you, as you don’t need to review each order manually. This is really a very efficient system to collect reviews from your customers “set it and forget it”.
Once review automation is enabled, you’ll never miss an opportunity to get a product review, and yes, this is 100% compliant with Amazon’s terms of service, so you won’t have to worry about violating the rules Amazon has in place.
This is possible because JungleScout simply automates Amazon’s review request system, JungleScout even notifies you which orders have already received a review request, so you don’t accidentally send it twice in a row.
Review automation is available in both the Suite and Professional plans, only if you want the best value, I highly recommend the Suite plan, as it gives you the best value and unlimited uses for each of the tools. Now you also have access to all the product research tools that can help you find new product ideas or profitable niches both.
You will have access to keyword research tools to help you discover the best keywords to use in your SEO and advertising campaigns. You’ll also be able to spy on your top competitors to see which keywords they are beating you on and how many daily sales you need to make if you want to outperform them. This plan also includes a comprehensive dashboard that displays all the most important sales analytics, such as profit margin, roi, your ROI, and a summary of your sales and advertising performance.
If you’re not a JungleScout user yet, I understand that you might be a little skeptical about taking the plunge, maybe the price is holding you back, but I assure you that these types of tools are essential if you want to take your Amazon business to the next level.
So here are two of the biggest benefits of using automated review requests:
- First, you’ll get a lot more product reviews, which will help you increase your conversion rate. In fact, 70 of consumers are likely to buy even an expensive product with the best ratings and reviews rather than a cheaper product with few or no reviews.
- The second advantage is that you can simply set it up and forget it, which will save you a lot of time and, as we mentioned earlier, manually asking for reviews from your customers takes up a lot of valuable time that could be better spent on other tasks in your business, such as keywords, research or optimizing your product list,
Indeed, the way it is currently configured in sellercentral is simply too time consuming to do one by one. Honestly, you have to manually click on each order, then click on the review request. Then you have to go back and do it all over again for your past, present and future orders.
So, especially if you’re getting a decent amount of orders or don’t need a lot of time to get a considerable amount of orders, even just a few orders a day. It still becomes a time consuming process of about 20 seconds. In fact, you should always log in to sellercentral and then go to the management, so we don’t even include the time to log in and click on the orders screen.
If you had to do this over and over again, that time really adds up, you are already busy enough as an amazon seller. So the more time you can get back the better with review automation, you don’t even have to think about it once you turn it on every day, JungleScout automatically sends the review request for you via sellercentral. You don’t have to worry about it.
JungleScout setup for automated reviews.
First, if you haven’t already connected your JungleScout account to your sellercentral account, you need to do so before you activate it. To do this, open JungleScout and go to the menu bar, click on marketing, then review, automation. Now click on connect to amazon and get access from there, you need to choose your region and market.
Then log in to amazon, you will need an account nickname and your sellercentral email.
Finally, allow Amazon & JungleScout to sync – and your account will now be connected from there you will need to wait until JungleScout syncs all your Amazon data. Once synced, simply go to the automation review tool, and enable it, and that’s it, just click the button and you’ll soon be ready. JungleScout will send review request emails automatically for your Amazon Shop so you never have to do it manually again, then once the tool is populated with your amazon data, you can see the status of your orders and review requests. This way, you can keep track of all your customer reviews.
How much does JungleScout cost?
The Jungle Scout web application offers three different packages: Starter, Standard and Business. Three of the most notable features of the web application include the product database, product tracking and Niche Hunter. Learn more about them below.
Coming to the end of my article, you can start your Amazon business with JungleScout but you should keep in mind that the JungleScout database doesn’t cover everything on Amazon – It contains a lot of items and can be a great source of ideas, but you should still do some research directly on Amazon. Once you find an interesting product, you can add it to JungleScout’s Product Tracker, which will show you information about the product in question.
In summary, JungleScout is a great tool to use if you’re thinking of doing competitive research to sell on Amazon.
